Frequently Asked Questions
Here is a list of the questions we receive most often. If you would like to ask us anything not listed here, please do not hesitate to get in touch. No question is too big, small or silly!
How far in advance should I book?
We are fortunately very popular with both new and returning visitors so we advise to book as far in advance as you can (sometimes as much as a year), however we do have cancellations and some free slots out of season, so please do contact us for availability.
What are your fees?
We charge a rate of £30 per dog, per 24 hours, and we continually ensure our prices are competitive with other doggie destinations. We can be slightly flexible for stays over a week and sometimes for multiple visitors from the same household. We ask for a 20% deposit upon booking to reserve your space(s). Your deposit is fully refundable at any point up to two weeks before the start of your dog's stay.
Do I provide my own dog food?
Yes please. There are so many different dog foods available and changing your dogs diet would only contribute to any change (as they are already away from their familiar home). We can keep fresh food in our fridge if needed.
My dog really doesn't get on well with other dogs...
This is a very regular situation and is no problem. Please do let us know in advance and we can make provision for this. We will keep your dog on a lead at all times when outside.
We can sometimes accommodate dogs that have a tendency to snap, but we would need to ensure that these dogs are boarding by themselves (with no other dogs visiting at the same time). Please let us know if your dog has a tendency to snap or bite - we will consider these visitors on a case-by-case basis. We still provide as much love to our wonderful 'spirited guests' as we do the quieter ones!
Do you have a dog?
Yes I do! We have a ten-year-old black standard poodle called Poppy. Poppy loves having friends to stay and she is extremely friendly. We find that our guests that normally bark at other dogs soon settle down once they are left to explore together however if you think your dog might be a little antisocial, please let us know. We can arrange a visit in advance to test the lay of the land!
Can you deal with my dog's medication and/or condition?
Yes. We are used to administering medication in liquid, tablet and injection form and we set alarms to remind us at certain times. We have dealt with many medical situations such as seizures and lameness - please let us know in advance and will make sure we are fully prepared.
Are you registered and insured?
Yes to both. I am not sure if you have any experience of becoming fully registered as a dog-carer but it is almost more in-depth and detailed than having humans to stay! We are fully licensed with Surrey Heath Council and have full insurance that covers injury, loss and other possibilities. We will happily share this with you on request.
PLEASE don't let my dog off the lead, even in the garden!
You are in charge. If you ask us not to, we won't. It's as simple as that. We won't. Honestly. We promise. We absolutely, categorically won't. And you are perfectly within your rights to ask.
Can you keep me updated whilst I'm away?
Definitely. We can text/WhatsApp you and send you photos. We can't do this all day as we'll be busy having fun but we will send you updates if you would like us to. It goes without saying that, should anything look unusual or if your dog is unwell, we will contact you immediately and follow your requests.
